How To Share Files From a Membership Account

By default uploaded files are "secure store" only, however there are 3 easy ways you can set files to share across the Internet.

When uploading: Check the "Share File" box. This will set all file during that upload session for sharing publicly
Global File Share Setting: You can share or stop sharing multiple files at one time in the myFiles page. To do this, check the files you want to change and then select the database button image to set as "secure store" or the down arrow button image to publicly share. Buttons are along the bottom. You will also notice the same database and down arrow icons along right column of each file in account which indicates the store or share status of that particular file.
Single File Editing: When editing a single file from myFiles webpage by selecting the pencil icon along left column, you will notice checkbox option "Share Files". Simply check this box to publicly share the file or uncheck to secure store only.

Also, there is an option when you publicly share files to set a password to download your file. This is useful if want to share a file with specific people and not the whole world. Of course to provide the password to those you want to share the file with. To set simply enter password in the "Download Password" entry box when uploading files or when in "Single File Editing" mode initiated in myFiles page.

Finally, to obtain the link to download individual files click on the down arrow button icon along the right column of the desired file. This will display the download page and URL in your browser. Simply copy the URL from your browser (top) and cut/paste where desired...email?

Deep linking is direct linking to information on a web page rather than linking to the actual web page itself. For example, files shared on FreeUploading.com are downloaded from individual web pages that look similiar to image below [or view live example].

In this example, to download the actual photo of the Tesla Electric Car you select the download button. Uploading Files to FreeUploading.com

There are two ways to upload files to FreeUploading.com, public upload or membership upload, and both are very straight forward.

Public Uploading
Typical user for the Public Uploading service is someone interested in a temporary way to upload files to share online or via email. If you are more interested in online file management, secure file storage, and/or managed file sharing services then you should checkout our member services.

To upload a public file first select Member Services, then Public File Uploading from the menu or directly linked by: upload.freeuploading.com

From here uploading is very simple, just click the Browse... button, select the file you want uploaded, and select Upload Files. Once the upload is complete you will be given a web link to download the file. There is an optional feature to have the download link emailed to one or more emails provided in the email entry box.. An example string is: "name@myemail.com, name2@myemail.com name3@myemail.com".

A few things to consider when using public uploading....

Files are publicly shared, can be found in our search engine, and not to be considered secure file storage. For secure online storage and other file management options checkout a free membership account. Learn more

There is a limit of 2 simultaneous file uploads vs 10 for members

Maximum "total" file size of a single upload session is 100mb. If two files total size exceeds 100mb consider uploading them seperatly or better yet consider a free membership and enjoy up to 500mb file uploads. learn more.

Files will be removed from the system after 7 days vs member files which are only deleted by the member....ie file owner

Membership Uploading
Whether it is for secure online file storage or robust file sharing, FreeUploading.com members enjoy the most felability and features to managing files online. For the member uploading interface select myAccount, Then Upload Files from the menu or by direct link: https://www.freeuploading.com/cgi-bin/members.pl?q=multiupload

In the member uploading interface: 1) select the Browse... button, 2) select the file you want uploaded, and 3) select Upload Files. There are "optional" features you can take advantage when uploading files, these features are:

Publish to myPage: will add files to your public page www.freeuploading.com/username. Individual file downloads are still provided, however the myPage function simply offers a convenient way to group multiple files to a single page for downloading

Share File: will open file to be shared publicly across internet through direct download links you can email or through the FreeUploading.com search network

Download Password: Enter a password users will be required to enter to download when sharing sensitive files

Folder: Categorize files into common folders. Either select an existing folder or add a new folder for uploaded files to be stored under.

FreeUploading.com was originally developed for internal use by the Domain Jr, Inc staff to support and manage three of our major needs:

Provide a secure file backup to protect critical data on a remote system
Provide an easy, yet robust, way to share large files too big to attach in email
Provide file hosting service to easly share files across the internet through individual and personalized download pages.

What we discovered from clients, friends, and family is that we were not along in the need for these services and so freeuploading.com was born!

To bring you the best service we offer six different memberships. Of course we offer our uploading service for free which covers most internet users, however many have asked for specialized services which we deliver through our preimimun accounts.
